Pocket Change is a scrapbook-style, multimodal graphic novel that documents the thoughts, emotions, and conflicts in the life and mind of Evelynn Sato as she reconnects with her old childhood best friend while simultaneously dealing with her sister's medical condition. When she makes one small mistake that snowballs into larger and more complex ones, Evelynn is forced to confront and navigate the dire consequences of her actions, all for the sake of her sister.
